Happy Nature Photography Day! I didn’t know this was a holiday…but I was so excited to find out it is!
I love Nature! I grew-up going on trips to various National Parks and other really cool outdoor places.
I find being in nature super therapeutic and comforting.
I always make an effort to take a picture of wherever I am to remember the cool places I have seen. Growing up and living in Utah, I have lots of opportunities to take amazing pictures!
I recently was in Southern Utah, visiting a few national parks. As I started thinking about what I wanted to do to celebrate Nature Photography Day, I remembered all of the pictures I just took. I scrolled through my camera roll and chose a pretty decent picture. I love the random bush, stunning red rock, and bright blue sky! It looks picturesque, and I immediately knew it would be an amazing design.
I decided that I wanted this to be a t-shirt.
So, I got to work!
I went to the t-shirt section of Picture This Clothing’s website (https://picturethisclothing.com/product/t-shirts/).
Instead of printing a design, I chose to “Go Digital!” and downloaded the layering templates.
It was super cool to work with these.
The templates are already hollowed out, so anything that lies under them shows up. Like this!
I adjusted the template to cover the area that I wanted.
Some of the photo gets cut off, but I included the important parts.
I saved the picture of the template over my nature photo.
Added my name (the computer font is definitely better than my handwriting, haha!) Then, I uploaded my design to the website. I checked out and ordered the shirt!
I eagerly waited for it to arrive, and I was so incredibly excited when it did!
It turned out super good. All of the colors are vibrant, and the contrast between them is just amazing. I truly love this unique way to remember my adventures!
Knowing a fun photo opportunity when it presents itself to me… I tossed on some hiking pants/shoes with my brand-new shirt!
Using photographs I had already taken was a fantastic experience and the perfect way to celebrate Nature Photography Day!
12/10 would recommend this project!
Happy Travels,
Taylor
